Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been won on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev won his initial title for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a former number one, has had a difficult period, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently working with his coach and his other coach, he has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden trophy since the Italian tournament and first on a hard surface from spring of 2023.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one championships at 21 distinct events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his last six finals, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
His retrieving approach and regular outbursts on the tennis court had led some to wonder if his ability to compete at the highest level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete assertively, supported by an enhanced service.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, winning 4 of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged break points in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden professional title, seized the initiative to force a third set.
He rescued 4 initial break points in a competitive deciding set before the champion won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the win with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
